Church History
Emanuel Church was planted in 1799 when Francis Asbury gave the directive to start a church in this part of the county. It is believed that Emanuel Church is the oldest church in Glynn County.
Since those humble beginnings over two hundred years ago, the Holy Spirit has worked through the people of Emanuel Church to draw folks to Jesus & disciple them to maturity in him. That work continues today.

At Emanuel Church our faith is a hopeful aspirational faith, as we wholeheartedly believe that the Holy Spirit is always at work drawing folks to Jesus & transforming hearts & lives.
As such, here at Emanuel we aspire to:
be an oasis of healing, a house of prayer, a disciple-making center, & a people who naturally share their faith & hope in Jesus our Lord.

How do we go about meeting
those aspirations?
In part, by creating a spiritual pathway that walks folks from curiosity in Jesus to becoming mature, fully formed followers of Jesus, who in turn disciple others into becoming mature, fully formed followers of Jesus.
